Um… Cry, that seems demonstrably false. There was a god here in Chapter One and you (and Jabber) have been hungry and lost and scared since then. And maybe tired too; I’m not sure. Also, you’ve been following Jabber, and none of that stuff happens around him. (So far? He’s got a red glow.) Or maybe Cry’s “wherever the gods go” means the gods sometimes go somewhere else where this is true, and she is trying to follow them there.
From a totally different direction, most of why Cry listed could be explained by a large animal (e.g. sauropod) pushing through the forest. This suggest Cry is a commensal symbiont on the “god” species.
