And we’re back in daylight. Or at least lightning-light. Somehow, I doubt the fang monsters will give up that easily. Jabber can fly, but I don’t think Cry can. When I think about it, Cry seems to have no forelimbs at all. This could mean (a) they’re just really small, like a T-rex’s, (b) Cry is holding them close, inside the fur (feathers?), or (c) Cry is of a very different species, not related to Earth vertebrates. Or I guess (d) Cry lost them in the backstory, but that seems farfetched.
We may also have seen more of those black eye creatures. The seem the most mysterious part of the world so far. Or maybe it was just the eyes of fang monsters in the dark.
Storm is preferable to being eaten, but it still feels very much like going from the pan to the fire! Surely, it is a harsh world for Small Things… doubly so, when other Small Things choose to make it harsh for other Small Things. Pretty sure there’s a lesson in there somewhere…
